Pipe Bands Australia National Management Committee advises it has approved the implementation of the Association’s National Integrity Framework (NIF). This Framework consists of a series of policies:

  • Code of Conduct,
  • Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
  • Member Protection Policy
  • Complaints disputes and Discipline Policy,
  • National Communications and Online Conduct Policy
  • Digital Systems & Information Management Standard
  • Complaint Handling Procedure, and Child Safe Practices Guide

Any previous policies or documents that may have been in place to cover these areas are now superseded by the NIF, which came into effect on the 1st of August 2026. It should be noted that the changes being made to the dispute resolution process no longer fully comply with those defined in the Rules of Association. As such the the implementation of a Bylaw that directs all future disputes requiring formal resolution to the processes defined in the NIF in place of the Rules now exists until such time as the Rules can be appropriately amended. The Bylaw may be found within the Rules of Association as found in the Document Library.

The National Integrity Framework can also be found in the Association Document Library.

An introductory online learning course has been developed by with the support of Victorian Chiar, Stephen Mathews to enable interested members to update themselves on the changes the NIF brings to the Association.
