Pipe Bands Australia has opened an online survey of member bands to gather information on the impacts of COVID-19 restrictions.

Band secretaries have been emailed the invitation to complete the short survey that includes questions on loss of band income and fundraising opportunities, how bands are engaging with their members during social distancing restrictions and whether any instrument and uniform renewal or expansion projects have been deferred or cancelled.

Data from the survey will be used by Pipe Bands Australia in advocacy to government and other bodies for recognition and assistance in future community recovery and rebuilding initiatives.

The survey also aims to gain a snapshot of current education and training programs provided by bands in their local communities.

Pipe Bands Australia has introduced a series of free online workshops in 2020 and bands are being asked in the survey to request any future workshop topics.
