The Castlemaine Highland Pipe band is a community band based in the goldfield’s town of Castlemaine, Central Victoria, Australia. The band performs at parades, agricultural shows, festivals, and other community and private functions throughout the region. The band is known for wearing the traditional uniform, including feather bonnets, horse-hair sporrans, woollen kilts, and plaids. New learners and players are always welcome to join the band. We practice every Thursday evening from 5.30pm – 8.00pm, and every 1st and 3rd Sunday in our club room in the Castlemaine Botanical gardens.
