Pipe Bands Australian would like to acknowledge and recognise the service and commitment of the outgoing National Principal of Piping, Mr Brett Tidswell.
Brett has served as Principal for over two decades and has been responsible for developing and implementing a significant portion of the Association’s current training, policy and practices during that time.
As head of the National Piping Panel, Brett has led from a position of experience as an accomplished player in both the band and solo arena, a skilled Pipe Major and band leader, an expert tutor, teacher and mentor of both adult and youth players, and finally as a sought-after adjudicator for all aspects of our art form.
His contribution in all areas has been immense, and we express our deep gratitude.
The Association would like to wish him well for the future and look forward to his continued contributions to pipe banding in Australia in the future.
