Pipe Bands Australia is inviting expressions of interest from members across Australia interested in contributing to the administration and ongoing development of the national Association.
Following its election at the Annual General Meeting on 18 October 2026, the new National Management Committee has resolved to undertake an open Expression of Interest (EOI) process for three appointed national officeholder positions:
- Assistant Secretary
- Assistant Treasurer
- National Registrar
The decision reflects the Committee’s commitment to transparency, accountability and providing opportunities for members throughout the country to contribute their skills, experience and perspectives to the Association.
While these positions have traditionally been filled through appointment by the National Management Committee, the Committee considers that inviting expressions of interest from the broader membership provides an opportunity to identify interested and suitably skilled members who may not otherwise have considered becoming involved.
The Committee recognises the considerable contribution made by those who have previously undertaken these roles and acknowledges the importance of building on their work while encouraging broader participation in the Association’s governance and administration.

Applicants may also provide a brief résumé or other supporting information if they wish.
Following the closing date, expressions of interest will be reviewed by the National Management Committee.
The Committee may contact applicants to seek further information or arrange an informal discussion about their interest, experience and availability.
