DESCRIPTION:In proud association with Ballarat Grammar\, Pipe Bands Victoria is delighted to announce that the 2024 Ballarat Grammar Pipe Band Contest will be held on Saturday 2nd March 2024. \nThis will be the 3rd consecutive year that the Ballarat contest will be hosted by Ballarat Grammar\, held in the beautiful grounds of the school. For the FIRST time\, the contest will be a “twilight” contest. DESCRIPTION:Pipe Bands Victoria is thrilled to be returning to the Melbourne Highland Games and Celtic Festival in 2024. \nThis year\, the Games\, being held on 24th March 2024\, will play host to the Victorian Pipe Band Championships\, the culmination contest in the Victorian pipe band calendar. \nPreviously known as the Ringwood Highland Games\, the Melbourne Highland Games and Celtic Festival was re-launched in 2021 and has gone from strength to strength over the past few years. In 2023\, the Games welcomed nearly 4\,500 people to the event. 2024 promises to be even bigger! \nIn 2024\, Pipe bands Victoria hopes to welcome 30 or more competing pipe bands. The Games are just three weeks before the 2024 Australian Pipe Band Championships in Maryborough\, Victoria. What better way to get those drones and drums perfectly tuned to Victorian conditions? \nCome\, join the clans\, the dancers\, and the heavy games.
