The founding Ballarat pipe band, the Ballarat and District Caledonian Pipe Band, made their first public performance at a Mayoral reception in September 1909.
The Ballarat Pipe Band is a teaching band with a family friendly environment that performs at many functions in Ballarat and beyond. Young learners from around age 10 very welcome. Experienced players also very welcome.
We are committed to taking part in competitions to continually improve our playing skills. In past years we have been successful at Australian, New Zealand, South Pacific and Victorian Championships.
