St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band is Tasmania’s oldest Pipe Band, established in 1933 by Bob Mackenzie, and is based in Launceston, Australia.
They are a competing Grade 4B band that also enjoys playing music in a family-friendly atmosphere throughout our community, interstate and overseas.
St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band puts emphasis on teaching and player development. They currently have a dedicated learner program and an age range from 12 to 70+ years.
St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band strives to encourage, promote and develop piping and drumming through tutoring and performances to showcase to audiences the heritage, music and culture of Scotland and other Celtic nations.
