DESCRIPTION:Ready to Lead: PBA Rules\, Governance and Band Administration Workshop \nPlease Note: this workshop is not exclusive to PBQ members\, it is open to everyone\, nationally. \nStrengthen your confidence\, sharpen your understanding\, and support better administration across the pipe band movement. \nPipe Bands Australia is pleased to offer a free Rules and Administration workshop for PBA officers\, band secretaries\, managers and others involved in branch\, band or contest administration. This practical and engaging session will help participants understand how PBA’s rules\, governance structures and administrative processes work together to support fair\, consistent and well-run pipe band activity across Australia. \nOver approximately 2.5 hours\, the workshop will cover key areas of governance\, band operations\, secretary responsibilities\, contest readiness\, registration and eligibility requirements\, and the integrity controls that help protect fairness and confidence in the contest system. \nThis is an ideal opportunity for current and emerging office bearers\, band administrators and volunteers to build role confidence\, ask questions\, share experience\, and develop a stronger working understanding of the Rules and Administration framework. \nParticipants may attend online or in person at the Brisbane Boys College Band Rooms\, with attendees welcome from every state in Australia. \nFollowing the workshop\, participants who wish to continue may sit the Pipe Bands Australia Elementary Rules and Administration examination\, leading to the PBA Elementary Rules and Administration qualification. \n  \nDate and time: 15th November 2026\, Workshop: 1pm & Exam: 2:45pm\nWorkshop Cost: Free\nWorkshop Registration: https://form.jotform.com/262596534813869\nExam Cost: PBA Members: $21 | Non-Members: $56\nExam Registration: https://pipebandsaustralia.com.au/college/rules-administration/\nRegistration deadline: 1st November 2026 \n  \nWhether you are new to administration or looking to refresh your knowledge\, this workshop will help you play your part in supporting good governance\, fair contests and confident band operations.
