Pipe Bands Australia congratulates the Australian bands and musicians who proudly competed at the World Pipe Band Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Australia was represented by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Hawthorn Pipe Band (Victoria) \u2014 Grade 1
\u2022 The Pipe Band Club (New South Wales) \u2014 Grade 2
\u2022 Governor Macquarie Memorial Pipe Band (New South Wales) \u2014 Grades 3B and 4B
\u2022 Scotch College No. 2 (Victoria) \u2014 Novice Juvenile B<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was a fantastic set of results on the world stage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 The Pipe Band Club placed 3rd overall in Grade 2, including 2nd in the Medley and 3rd in the MSR.
\u2022 Scotch College No. 2 placed 4th in the Novice Juvenile B final after winning its qualifying heat.
\u2022 Governor Macquarie Memorial Pipe Band placed 9th in the Grade 3B final.
\u2022 Hawthorn Pipe Band placed 11th overall in Grade 1, competing among the very best bands in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also acknowledge the many Australian pipers and drummers who competed as members of bands from around the world. While there are too many to name individually, your achievements and contributions have certainly not gone unnoticed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
